Description

A simple and fun recipe for deliciously juicy hamburgers, perfect for grilling or skillet cooking.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 ½ lb ground beef 80/20
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp pepper
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • Cheddar cheese slices (optional)

Instructions

  1. Place the ground beef in a large mixing bowl.
  2. Add the garlic powder, salt, pepper, and Worcestershire sauce.
  3. Gently mix the spices into the ground beef, being careful not to overmix.
  4. Form the meat into a large patty and place it on a cutting board.
  5. Cut the patty into 4 equal triangles, then shape each triangle into a hamburger patty, each weighing about 6 ounces.
  6. Press your thumb into the center of each patty to create an indent.
  7. Place the patties in the fridge until ready to cook.
  8. Preheat your grill to medium-high.
  9. Place the burgers on the hot grill, indent side up, and close the lid. Cook for about 5 minutes.
  10. Flip the burgers and cook for another 5 minutes or until the beef reaches 160°F.
  11. Serve hamburgers on your favorite bun along with toppings.
  12. Alternatively, heat a cast-iron skillet over medium-high heat and cook the burger patties for about 3 minutes per side.

Notes

Make sure not to overmix the ground beef. Try using a meat thermometer for perfect cooking.
