Description

Delightful Polish pastries filled with fruit jam, perfect for any gathering.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 225g unsalted butter, softened
  • 225g cream cheese, softened
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Cream together the softened butter and cream cheese until smooth.
  3. Gradually add the flour, mixing until combined.
  4. Chill the dough in the refrigerator for at least 60 minutes.
  5. Roll out the dough on a floured surface to about 1/8 inch thick.
  6. Cut into squares or circles, and place a small spoonful of jam in the center.
  7. Fold the dough over the jam, pinching the edges to seal.
  8. Bake for 15-20 minutes or until lightly golden.
  9. Allow to cool and dust with powdered sugar before serving.

Notes

Store in an airtight container and enjoy fresh for the best flavor. Freeze unbaked dough or baked cookies for longer storage.
