Ingredients

  • 1 cup warm water
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon mixed herbs (e.g., rosemary, thyme)
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (e.g., mozzarella, cheddar)

Instructions

  1. Mix flour, sugar, salt, and yeast in a large bowl.
  2. Add warm water and olive oil, and mix until a dough forms.
  3. Knead the dough on a floured surface for 5-10 minutes until smooth.
  4. Place in a greased bowl, cover, and let it rise for about 60 minutes.
  5. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  6. Mix the minced garlic and herbs in a small bowl.
  7. Roll out the dough into a rectangle, spread the garlic-herb mix, and sprinkle the shredded cheese on top.
  8. Roll the dough tightly into a log and place it in a greased loaf pan.
  9. Let it rise for an additional 30 minutes.
  10. Bake for 25-30 minutes until golden brown.
  11. Let cool before slicing.
