Ingredients

  • 2 cups pretzels, crushed
  • 1/2 cup butter, melted
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 package (8 oz) cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 container (8 oz) whipped topping
  • 2 packages (3 oz each) strawberry gelatin
  • 2 cups boiling water
  • 2 cups fresh strawberries, sliced

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Combine crushed pretzels, melted butter, and 1/4 cup sugar in a medium bowl. Press the mixture into the bottom of an 8×8-inch pan.
  3. Bake for 10 minutes, then let cool.
  4. Mix softened cream cheese and powdered sugar until smooth in a large bowl. Fold in whipped topping.
  5. Spread the mixture over the cooled pretzel crust.
  6. Dissolve strawberry gelatin in boiling water in another bowl. Stir in sliced strawberries.
  7. Pour the gelatin mixture over the cream cheese layer and let it cool slightly.
  8. Refrigerate for at least 240 minutes before serving.
