Description

A hearty and comforting Pepper Steak dish made in a slow cooker, featuring tender flank steak and colorful bell peppers.


Ingredients

  • 1 pound flank steak
  • 1 green bell pepper
  • 1 red bell pepper
  • 1 onion
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Cooking oil

Instructions

  1. Cut the flank steak into strips and season with salt and pepper.
  2. Heat some oil in a skillet over medium-high heat and sear the steak until browned.
  3. Remove the steak and place it in the crock pot.
  4. Slice the green and red bell peppers and onion, and add them to the crock pot.
  5. Mince the garlic and add it as well.
  6. In a bowl, mix the beef broth, soy sauce, and cornstarch, then pour the mixture over the steak and vegetables in the crock pot.
  7. Stir well to combine.
  8. Cook on low for 360-480 minutes or until the steak is tender.
  9. Serve hot over rice or noodles.

Notes

For extra flavor, consider marinating the steak in soy sauce for an hour before cooking. You can also add other vegetables like carrots or broccoli for more nutrition.
