Description

A delicious and comforting slow-cooked meal of tender flank steak with vibrant bell peppers and savory sauce, perfect for busy days.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound flank steak
  • 1 green bell pepper
  • 1 red bell pepper
  • 1 onion (optional)
  • 2 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Heat vegetable oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Season the flank steak with salt and pepper, then sear it on both sides until browned.
  2. Add the sliced green and red bell peppers, onion, and minced garlic to the Crock Pot.
  3. Place the seared flank steak on top of the vegetables.
  4. Mix beef broth, soy sauce, and cornstarch in a separate bowl until smooth, then pour over the steak and vegetables.
  5. Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours, or until the steak is tender.
  6. Serve hot with rice or noodles.

Notes

Marinate the flank steak in soy sauce for a few hours before cooking for enhanced flavor. Add jalapeños or crushed red pepper flakes for heat, and use fresh herbs like parsley or cilantro for garnish.
