Description

Delightful light pastries with a rich buttery flavor, perfect for desserts or paired with coffee and tea.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Powdered sugar for dusting

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
  2. Combine the milk and butter in a saucepan, and bring to a boil.
  3. Remove from heat and stir in the flour and salt until a smooth dough forms.
  4. Allow the mixture to cool slightly, then beat in the eggs one at a time until fully incorporated.
  5. Stir in the vanilla extract.
  6. Drop spoonfuls of the mixture onto a greased baking sheet.
  7. Bake for about 20-25 minutes or until golden brown and puffed.
  8. Dust with powdered sugar before serving.

Notes

For a crunchier texture, bake a little longer while watching to prevent burning. Experiment with flavors by adding lemon zest or almond extract.
