- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup light corn syrup
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- Pinch of salt
Instructions
- Grease a square baking dish and set it aside.
- Combine sugar, corn syrup, and cream in a saucepan. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly until the sugar dissolves.
- Continue cooking without stirring until the mixture reaches 240°F (soft ball stage).
- Remove from heat and stir in the butter, vanilla, and salt.
- Pour the caramel mixture into the prepared dish and let it cool completely.
- Once cooled, cut into squares and wrap in wax paper.
Notes
Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to two weeks, or freeze wrapped individually in wax paper to prevent sticking.
