- 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 eggs
- 1 tbsp water or milk
- 1½ cups panko breadcrumbs
- ¾ cup finely grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- ½ tsp smoked paprika
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Olive oil spray
Instructions
- Prep the chicken by trimming excess fat and slicing or pounding to even thickness.
- Set up dredging stations: place seasoned flour in the first bowl, beaten eggs in the second, and a mixture of panko, Parmesan, garlic powder, and paprika in the third.
- Dredge the chicken through the flour, eggs, and then press into the panko-Parmesan mixture.
- Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (204°C) for 3 minutes. Spray both sides of the coated chicken with olive oil.
- Air fry the chicken in a single layer for 6–7 minutes, then flip and air fry for an additional 5–7 minutes until golden brown and cooked through.
- Rest the chicken for 3–5 minutes before serving.
Notes
Ensure the chicken is patted dry before coating for the best results. Adjust seasoning and cooking times based on thickness of the chicken.
