Description

A delightful combination of crispy phyllo dough filled with rich and tangy feta, honey, and chili flakes, perfect for a snack or appetizer.


Ingredients

  • 1 package of phyllo dough
  • 8 oz feta cheese, crumbled
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 12 tablespoons chili flakes
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 egg (for egg wash)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Mix the crumbled feta cheese, honey, and chili flakes in a bowl.
  3. Layer 2 sheets of phyllo dough, brushing each layer with olive oil.
  4. Cut the layered dough into strips.
  5. Place a spoonful of the feta mixture at one end of each strip and roll it up.
  6. Arrange the rolls on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  7. Brush the tops with egg wash.
  8. Bake for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown.
  9. Drizzle extra honey on top before serving.

Notes

For best results, keep the phyllo dough covered with a damp cloth while working to prevent it from drying out. Experiment with different types of cheese or add herbs for extra flavor.
