- 1 package of phyllo dough
- 8 oz feta cheese, crumbled
- 1/4 cup honey
- 1–2 tablespoons chili flakes
- 1/4 cup olive oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 egg (for egg wash)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Mix the crumbled feta cheese, honey, and chili flakes in a bowl.
- Layer 2 sheets of phyllo dough, brushing each layer with olive oil.
- Cut the layered dough into strips.
- Place a spoonful of the feta mixture at one end of each strip and roll it up.
- Arrange the rolls on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Brush the tops with egg wash.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown.
- Drizzle extra honey on top before serving.
Notes
For best results, keep the phyllo dough covered with a damp cloth while working to prevent it from drying out. Experiment with different types of cheese or add herbs for extra flavor.
