- 1 cup cooked chicken, shredded
- 1 cup turkey bacon, chopped
- 1 cup mixed vegetables (peas, carrots, corn)
- 1 cup chicken broth
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 pie crust (store-bought or homemade)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C).
- In a saucepan, melt butter over medium heat. Add flour and stir for about 2 minutes. Slowly add chicken broth, whisking constantly until thickened.
- Stir in the chicken, turkey bacon, mixed vegetables, onion powder, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
- Pour the mixture into a pie crust in a pie dish.
- Cover with the top pie crust, sealing the edges, and make a few slits for steam to escape.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes or until the crust is golden brown. Let it cool for 10 minutes before serving.
Notes
For a thicker filling, let the sauce simmer longer before adding chicken and vegetables. Feel free to customize with other vegetables.
