Description
A rich and creamy dessert that combines the flavors of classic Boston cream pie with cheesecake, featuring a buttery crust and a decadent chocolate ganache topping.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 1/2 cups graham cracker crumbs
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 cup sugar
- 4 (8-ounce) packages cream cheese, softened
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 4 large eggs
- 1 cup sour cream
- 1 cup vanilla pudding (for filling)
- 1/2 cup chocolate ganache (for topping)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 325°F (163°C).
- Combine graham cracker crumbs and melted butter until the mixture resembles wet sand. Press this mixture into the bottom of a springform pan to form the crust.
- Beat cream cheese and sugar in a large mixing bowl until smooth. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Then stir in vanilla extract and sour cream.
- Pour half of the cream cheese mixture into the crust, followed by the vanilla pudding. Top with the remaining cream cheese mixture.
- Bake for 50-60 minutes, or until the edges are set but the center is slightly jiggly.
- Turn off the oven and let the cheesecake cool in the oven with the door cracked for 1 hour.
- Chill in the refrigerator for at least 240 minutes or overnight.
- Drizzle with chocolate ganache before serving.
Notes
Best served chilled. You may add extra chocolate ganache or whipped cream on top for an added touch. Store in the refrigerator and consume within 3-5 days.
