Description

A hearty dish featuring pinto beans, turkey bacon, and chicken ham, perfect for gatherings or family dinners.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound dried pinto beans
  • 4 slices turkey bacon
  • 1 cup diced chicken ham
  • 6 cups water
  • Salt, to taste
  • Pepper, to taste
  • Optional spices (onion powder, garlic, etc.)

Instructions

  1. Rinse and soak the dried pinto beans overnight or for at least 6 hours. Drain the beans and set them aside.
  2. Add the soaked beans, turkey bacon, and diced chicken ham to a slow cooker.
  3. Cover the ingredients with water and season with salt, pepper, and any additional spices you like.
  4. Set the slow cooker to low heat and cook for 8-10 hours or until the beans are tender.
  5. Stir occasionally and adjust seasoning before serving.

Notes

These beans can be served as a main dish or side, topping with green onions or shredded cheese for extra flavor. Store leftovers in an airtight container; they last about 3-4 days in the fridge or up to 3 months in the freezer.
