Description

A classic dessert layering sweet bananas and creamy pudding, perfect for any occasion.


Ingredients

  • 4 ripe bananas
  • 2 cups whole milk
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup cornstarch
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 package vanilla wafers

Instructions

  1. In a medium saucepan, whisk together the sugar, cornstarch, and salt. Gradually stir in the milk.
  2. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until the mixture thickens and bubbles.
  3. Remove from heat and add the vanilla extract.
  4. Allow the pudding to cool slightly, then layer it with sliced bananas and vanilla wafers in a serving dish.
  5. Refrigerate for at least 120 minutes before serving.
  6. Top with whipped cream and additional banana slices if desired.
