Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup chocolate chips
  • 1 cup chopped Twix bars (about 45 bars)
  • Optional: Sea salt for topping

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line two baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. Cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Beat in the eggs, one at a time, then add the vanilla extract and mix until combined.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, mixing until just combined. Be careful not to overmix.
  6. Gently fold in the chocolate chips and chopped Twix bars until evenly distributed throughout the dough.
  7. Using a cookie scoop or tablespoon, drop rounded portions of dough onto the prepared baking sheets, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
  8. Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden but the centers are still soft.
  9. Remove the cookies from the oven and let them cool on the baking sheets for about 10 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
  10. For an extra touch, sprinkle a little sea salt on top of the warm cookies before they cool completely.
