Description

A quick and easy method to achieve golden, crunchy Parmesan-crusted chicken using an air fryer.


Ingredients

  • 4 boneless chicken breasts
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 cups panko breadcrumbs
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Olive oil spray

Instructions

  1. Preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Trim excess fat from chicken breasts and pound to an even thickness.
  3. Pat chicken dry and season both sides lightly with salt and pepper.
  4. In a shallow bowl, whisk the eggs until smooth.
  5. In another bowl, combine Parmesan cheese, panko breadcrumbs, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper.
  6. Dip each chicken breast into the egg wash, ensuring it’s fully coated.
  7. Press the chicken into the breadcrumb mixture, coating evenly on both sides.
  8. Lightly spray both sides of the chicken with olive oil spray.
  9. Place the chicken breasts in the air fryer basket in a single layer. Avoid overcrowding and cook in batches if necessary.
  10. Air fry for 10 minutes. Flip the chicken and cook for an additional 8–10 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
  11. Remove the chicken and let it rest for 5 minutes before serving.

Notes

For added flavor, try mixing in some lemon zest or fresh herbs to the breadcrumb mixture.
