- 1 cup heavy cream
- 8 oz dark or semi-sweet chocolate, chopped
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 1 tbsp freshly grated orange zest
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- Cocoa powder, chopped nuts, or sprinkles for rolling
Instructions
- In a saucepan, heat the heavy cream until it’s just boiling.
- Pour the heavy cream over the chopped chocolate in a bowl and let it sit for a few minutes, then stir until smooth.
- Add the powdered sugar, orange zest, and vanilla extract. Mix until well incorporated.
- Refrigerate the mixture for 1-2 hours until it’s set enough to handle.
- Scoop out small amounts and roll them into balls.
- Roll truffles in cocoa powder, chopped nuts, or sprinkles as desired.
- Store in an airtight container in the fridge until ready to serve.
