  • 1 medium Onion
  • 1 large Egg
  • 1 tbsp Dijon Mustard
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire Sauce
  • 1 tsp Garlic Powder
  • 8 oz Mushrooms
  • 1 cup Beef Broth
  • 1 tbsp Tomato Paste
  • 2 tbsp Butter
  • 1/2 tsp Xanthan Gum (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a large mixing bowl, gently combine ground beef, heavy whipping cream, onion, egg, Dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, and garlic powder. Be careful not to overmix.
  2. Form the mixture into evenly sized patties, about ½ inch thick.
  3. Heat oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the patties for 2-3 minutes on each side.
  4. Remove the patties and sauté butter and mushrooms until browned, about 5 minutes.
  5. Pour beef broth into the skillet to deglaze, then return patties and add tomato paste; cover and simmer for 10 minutes.
  6. If desired, sprinkle in xanthan gum gradually while stirring to thicken.
