- 1/4 cup Heavy Whipping Cream
- 1 medium Onion
- 1 large Egg
- 1 tbsp Dijon Mustard
- 1 tbsp Worcestershire Sauce
- 1 tsp Garlic Powder
- 8 oz Mushrooms
- 1 cup Beef Broth
- 1 tbsp Tomato Paste
- 2 tbsp Butter
- 1/2 tsp Xanthan Gum (optional)
Instructions
- In a large mixing bowl, gently combine ground beef, heavy whipping cream, onion, egg, Dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, and garlic powder. Be careful not to overmix.
- Form the mixture into evenly sized patties, about ½ inch thick.
- Heat oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the patties for 2-3 minutes on each side.
- Remove the patties and sauté butter and mushrooms until browned, about 5 minutes.
- Pour beef broth into the skillet to deglaze, then return patties and add tomato paste; cover and simmer for 10 minutes.
- If desired, sprinkle in xanthan gum gradually while stirring to thicken.
