Description

A delicious and healthy twist on the classic Philly cheesesteak, this low carb casserole is packed with flavor and easy to make.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1/2 cup cream cheese
  • 1 cup provolone cheese, torn
  • 1 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded
  • 1 medium onion, diced
  • 1 bell pepper, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and spray your 9×13 baking dish with non-stick spray.
  2. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add diced onions and bell peppers, cooking them for 5-6 minutes until fragrant. Add minced garlic and cook for another 30 seconds.
  3. Stir in the ground beef, breaking it up with your spatula. Season with salt and pepper, cooking for 7-8 minutes until browned. Drain any excess fat if needed.
  4. Add Worcestershire sauce and mix well, then reduce heat to low, add cream cheese, and stir until creamy.
  5. Transfer the mixture to the baking dish and layer with provolone and mozzarella cheese on top.
  6. Bake for 22-25 minutes until the cheese is bubbly and slightly golden. Let it rest for 5 minutes before serving.

Notes

Enjoy with a side salad or as a filling for low-carb wraps. Can be made ahead and baked just before serving.
