Description

A delicious and comforting casserole that combines all the flavors of a classic cheeseburger while being low in carbs.


Ingredients

  • 8 slices of bacon
  • 1 lb ground beef (lean)
  • 1 cup cream cheese, softened
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Optional: chopped jalapeños, sautéed mushrooms

Instructions

  1. In a skillet, cook bacon until crispy. Remove, crumble, and set aside. Reserve some grease.
  2. In the same skillet, brown ground beef with onion and garlic until beef is cooked and onion is soft. Stir in smoked paprika, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
  3. Lower heat and mix in cream cheese until melted. Stir in crumbled bacon and spread the mixture in a greased 9×13-inch baking dish.
  4. In a bowl, whisk together eggs, heavy cream, and mustard. Slowly mix in half of the cheddar and mozzarella.
  5. Pour the egg mixture over the beef layer and top with remaining cheese.
  6. Bake in a preheated oven at 350°F (175°C) for 25–30 minutes until set and golden on top.
  7. Allow cooling slightly before cutting and serve optional garnishes if desired.
