- 1 lb ground beef
- 1/2 cup almond flour
- 1 large egg
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1 tsp Italian seasoning
- 1 cup marinara sauce
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Olive oil for searing
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a mixing bowl, combine ground beef, almond flour, egg, garlic powder, onion powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
- Shape the mixture into golf ball-sized meatballs.
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat and sear meatballs until golden brown on all sides.
- In the same skillet, add marinara sauce and Parmesan cheese, stir to combine.
- Place meatballs in a baking dish, pour sauce over them, and top with mozzarella cheese.
- Bake in the oven for 20 minutes or until cheese is bubbly and golden brown.
Notes
Feel free to substitute ground turkey for a leaner option, or add veggies like spinach or bell peppers for extra nutrition.
