- 1 tsp sugar
Instructions
- Activate the yeast by mixing warm water and sugar in a bowl. Sprinkle yeast on top and let sit for 5-10 minutes until frothy.
- In a large bowl, combine flour and salt. Create a well in the center; add yeast mixture and olive oil.
- Mix until combined, then knead on a floured surface for about 8-10 minutes until smooth.
- Gently fold in bacon and olives without overworking the dough.
- Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with a damp cloth, and let rise for about 1 hour or until doubled in size.
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Shape risen dough into a loaf in a greased pan and bake for 30-35 minutes until golden brown.
