Description

A quick and easy Oreo cookie cake featuring a crumbly Oreo base and creamy Oreo buttercream, perfect for any celebration.


Ingredients

  • 1 box of chocolate cake mix
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup melted butter
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 to 1.5 cups crushed Oreo cookies
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup softened butter
  • 2 cups powdered sugar
  • Additional Oreos for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease and flour two 9-inch round cake pans.
  2. In a large bowl, combine chocolate cake mix, eggs, melted butter, and milk. Mix until smooth.
  3. Gently fold in the crushed Oreo cookies.
  4. Divide the batter between the prepared pans and bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  5. Allow cakes to cool for 10 minutes in the pans, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
  6. In a mixing bowl, beat heavy cream and softened butter until fluffy. Gradually add powdered sugar and fold in crushed Oreos.
  7. Place one cake layer on a serving plate, spread frosting on top, then place the second layer on top. Frost the top and sides with remaining frosting.
  8. Garnish with whole Oreos and chill in the refrigerator for 30 minutes before slicing.

Notes

For a more personalized touch, you can customize the frosting by adding espresso powder or using different flavored cookies.
