Ingredients

  • 2 large apples, peeled and diced
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs

  • ½ cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1½ teaspoons ground cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • ½ teaspoon baking soda
  • ½ teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9-inch round cake pan and set aside.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, cinnamon, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  3. In a separate bowl, whisk the eggs, oil, milk, and vanilla extract until well combined.
  4. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and mix until just combined. Fold in the diced apples.
  5. Transfer the batter into the prepared cake pan. Bake for 35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  6. Let the cake cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then remove and allow to cool completely on a wire rack before serving.
