  • 1 cup caramel sauce, plus extra for drizzling
  • Optional: whipped cream or vanilla ice cream for serving

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish with butter.
  2. Tear the croissants into bite-sized pieces and place them in the greased baking dish.
  3. In a large bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, heavy cream, granulated sugar, vanilla extract, cinnamon, and salt until well combined.
  4. Pour the custard mixture evenly over the torn croissants, ensuring all pieces are soaked.
  5. Drizzle half of the caramel sauce over the top of the mixture.
  6. Let the mixture sit for about 15 minutes, allowing the croissants to absorb the custard.
  7. Place the baking dish in the preheated oven and bake for 40-45 minutes until the top is golden brown and the custard is set.
  8. Remove from the oven and let it cool for 15-20 minutes before serving.
