Description
Indulge in Creamy Parmesan Beef Linguine with Garlic Butter Sauce for a comforting weeknight dinner that elevates your meal experience.
Ingredients
Scale
- 12 oz Linguine Pasta
- 1 lb Ground Beef (80/20)
- 2 tbsp Unsalted Butter
- 3 cloves Garlic (Minced)
- 1 medium Yellow Onion (Diced)
- 1 cup Heavy Cream
- 1 cup Freshly Grated Parmesan Cheese
- 1 tbsp Italian Seasoning
- to taste Salt
- to taste Pepper
- 1 tsp Red Pepper Flakes (Optional)
- 1/4 cup Fresh Parsley or Thyme (Optional)
- 1/2 cup Reserved Pasta Water
Instructions
- Fill a large pot with salted water and bring it to a rolling boil. Add the linguine and cook until al dente, about 8-10 minutes. Reserve ½ cup of pasta water before draining the rest.
- In a skillet, melt 2 tablespoons of unsalted butter over medium heat. Add minced garlic and diced yellow onion, sautéing until fragrant and translucent, which takes about 2-3 minutes.
- Add the ground beef to the skillet and season with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning. Cook until browned, around 6-8 minutes, breaking it apart as it cooks. If there’s excess fat, drain it.
- Stir in the heavy cream and let it simmer gently, then add freshly grated Parmesan cheese and optional red pepper flakes. Continue to stir until the sauce thickens, about 4-5 minutes.
- Toss the cooked linguine into the skillet with the sauce. Gradually add reserved pasta water until you reach your desired sauce consistency.
- Garnish with fresh parsley or thyme, and serve immediately. Feel free to add extra Parmesan and a sprinkle of black pepper on top.
