- 4 large eggs
- 2 cups whole milk
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup granulated sugar

- ½ cup raisins or other dried fruits (optional)
- ¼ cup butter, melted

Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
- Place the cubed stale bread in a large mixing bowl.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, heavy cream, sugar, vanilla extract, cinnamon, and salt until well combined.
- Pour the custard mixture over the cubed bread. Gently stir to ensure all the bread is soaked.
- If you’re using raisins or other dried fruits, fold them into the bread mixture.
- Pour the bread mixture into the prepared baking dish. Drizzle the melted butter over the top.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 45-50 minutes, or until the custard is set and the top is golden brown.
- Once done, remove the casserole from the oven and let it cool for about 10 minutes before serving.
- If desired, dust the top with powdered sugar for an extra touch of sweetness.
- Serve with a drizzle of caramel sauce for added flavor.
