Description

Christmas Glazed Eggnog Bread is the ultimate festive treat—moist, warmly spiced, and drizzled with a sweet eggnog glaze.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour (240g)
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened (113g)
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar (150g)
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cup eggnog (240ml)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup powdered sugar (120g)
  • 23 tablespoons eggnog (30–45ml)
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Pinch of nutmeg (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease or line a 9×5-inch loaf pan with parchment paper.
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, salt, and nutmeg. Set aside.
  3. In a large bowl, beat butter and sugar until light and fluffy, about 2–3 minutes.
  4. Beat in eggs one at a time, then add vanilla extract.
  5. Alternate adding dry ingredients and eggnog to the butter mixture, starting and ending with dry. Mix until just combined—don’t overmix.
  6. Pour batter into prepared pan and bake for 50–55 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. If top browns too quickly, cover with foil for the last 15 minutes.
  7. Cool in pan for 10–15 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack. Once fully cooled, whisk glaze ingredients and drizzle over the top. Let set before slicing.
