Description

Create spooky and colorful Beetlejuice Halloween Jello Shots. This recipe features layered purple, green, and black gelatin for a festive, non-alcoholic party treat perfect for kids and adults.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 (3 oz / 85 g) box black cherry Jello
  • 1 (3 oz / 85 g) box lime Jello
  • 1 (3 oz / 85 g) box grape Jello
  • 3 cups (720 ml) boiling water, divided
  • 3 cups (720 ml) cold water, divided
  • Whipped topping or whipped cream, for garnish
  • Halloween sprinkles, candy eyes, or gummy worms, for decoration
  • Optional: Black food coloring
  • Optional: Sweetened condensed milk

Instructions

  1. Arrange 18–20 mini 2-ounce cups on a tray.
  2. In a bowl, dissolve grape Jello in 1 cup boiling water. Stir for 2 minutes. Add 1 cup cold water. Pour into cups, filling about one-third. Chill for 45–60 minutes until set.
  3. In a clean bowl, dissolve lime Jello in 1 cup boiling water. Stir until dissolved, then add 1 cup cold water. Let cool slightly. Gently pour over the purple layer. Chill for 45–60 minutes.
  4. Prepare black cherry Jello as directed. For a darker hue, add a drop of black food coloring. Pour over the green layer. Refrigerate for 1 hour or until fully set.
  5. Just before serving, top each Jello cup with whipped cream, candy eyes, or sprinkles.
  6. Keep chilled until ready to serve.

Notes

  • Let each layer fully set before adding the next for clean separation.
  • Pour slowly to avoid mixing layers.
  • Use a squeeze bottle or small measuring cup for precise pouring.
  • For a “slime effect,” drizzle green icing or syrup over the top.
  • Make ahead up to 2 days and store covered in the fridge.
