Description

Transform the flavors of a classic bacon cheeseburger into a convenient, oven-baked casserole that’s quick and budget-friendly.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 cup elbow macaroni
  • 4 slices bacon, crumbled
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Chopped onions (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large skillet, brown the ground beef with onions on medium heat for about 10 minutes. Drain excess fat.
  3. In a large bowl, mix cooked macaroni, ground beef mixture, crumbled bacon, cheddar, and mozzarella cheese.
  4. In another bowl, whisk together the milk, eggs, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
  5. Pour the milk mixture over the pasta and meat mixture, stir to combine, and spread evenly in a greased casserole dish.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes until the cheese is bubbly and golden brown.
  7. Let the casserole cool for 5 minutes before serving.
