Description

Almond Crescent Cookies are delicate, buttery treats with a nutty flavor. They are made from a blend of all-purpose flour and almond flour, lightly dusted with powdered sugar.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup of butter, room temperature
  • 2/3 cup of sugar
  • 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon of almond extract
  • 2 1/2 cups of all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup of almond flour (can substitute ground almonds)
  • 1/4 cup of powdered sugar for sprinkling

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, beat the butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add the vanilla and almond extracts and mix until combined.
  3. Gradually add the all-purpose flour and almond flour to the butter mixture. Mix to form a slightly crumbly dough.
  4. Take generous tablespoons of dough and roll each into a small ball about an inch in diameter. Shape each ball into a crescent and place them on a parchment paper-lined baking sheet.
  5. Bake for 15 to 20 minutes until light golden brown around the edges.
  6. Allow the cookies to cool slightly on the baking sheet before transferring to a wire rack. Dust each cookie with powdered sugar.
