Description

These golden, cheesy bites turn broccoli into a delicious snack that the whole family will love.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups broccoli florets
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 egg (or flax egg for vegan option)
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Prepare the broccoli by washing and chopping it into small florets; pulse in a food processor or finely chop by hand.
  2. Dry the broccoli thoroughly using paper towels to avoid soggy poppers.
  3. In a mixing bowl, combine broccoli, cheddar cheese, breadcrumbs, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, pepper, and egg.
  4. Adjust the mixture’s consistency as needed by adding more breadcrumbs if too wet.
  5. Shape the mixture into small balls or patties, about 1–1.5 inches in size.
  6. Preheat the air fryer to 375°F (190°C) and lightly grease the basket.
  7. Air fry the poppers in a single layer for 10–12 minutes, flipping once halfway through, until golden brown.
  8. Let them cool for a couple of minutes before serving with your favorite dipping sauce.

Notes

Feel free to customize with spices or other ingredients. You can make these vegan or gluten-free with simple substitutions.
